Venezuela announced that it will release 300 people this week in accordance with the "Law on Democratic Coexistence Amnesty."

On May 19th local time, the President of the National Assembly of Venezuela, Jorge Rodriguez, announced that starting immediately until the 22nd, the Venezuelan government will release 300 people in accordance with the "Amnesty Law for Democratic Coexistence." According to information released by the Venezuelan government, since the law was passed in February of this year, a total of 8616 people have benefitted from it as of April.
