A White House official revealed that President Trump will attend the G7 leaders summit in France in June, where discussions will be held on topics such as artificial intelligence, trade, and combatting crime. It has become customary for the U.S. President to attend this annual summit, however, Trump has been dissatisfied with G7 members such as the UK, France, Germany, and Italy for not cooperating with the U.S. on actions regarding Iran. Whether he will participate in this summit has been uncertain. The White House official stated that the summit will not result in the signing of official agreements, but rather aims to gather consensus and lay the foundation for future cooperation agreements. The summit is scheduled to take place from June 15th to 17th in vian-les-Bains in southeastern France. Although the situation in Iran is likely to be on the agenda, Trump is more inclined to focus on economic and trade-related issues. On June 14th, which coincides with the summit, it will also be Trump's birthday, when he turns 80 years old.
