The UAE Petrochemical Company will establish a new export gateway on the east coast of the UAE.

On May 19th local time, the Abu Dhabi Ports Group and Borouge signed a cooperation agreement aimed at establishing an alternative international export gateway on the east coast of the United Arab Emirates. The petrochemical company will utilize Abu Dhabi Ports Group's port in Fujairah to open new routes, reducing dependence on the current route through the Strait of Hormuz. The agreement also includes joint research on developing infrastructure specifically for polyolefins on the east coast.
