With software stocks rebounding, European stock markets are slightly up.
The European blue-chip stock index in morning trading rose slightly, continuing the upward trend from the previous trading day. With the pan-European STOXX 600 index rising by 0.4%, software stocks led the various European sectors. The German DAX index rose by 0.55%, with software group SAP leading the way with a 3.5% increase. Defense and industrial group Rheinmetall's stock price continued to rise, increasing by 3.4%. The UK's FTSE 100 index rose by 0.5%, with investment platform IG Group rising by 7.4% after announcing first-quarter results. Software group Sage rose by 2.6%. In Paris, software companies also boosted the French CAC 40 index. With Dassault Systemes and Capgemini both rising by nearly 3%, the index increased by 0.3%. The Netherlands' AEX index climbed by 0.6%, with software company Vekoma Group rising by 2.2%. The Spanish IBEX 35 index rose slightly by 0.1%, while the Italian FTSE MIB index remained unchanged.
