Guizhou hit by severe heavy rain in multiple areas. Duyun in Guizhou province has initiated level II emergency response for flood prevention.
Due to the influence of heavy rain and upstream water, the water level of Jian River rose rapidly. Starting from 6 am on May 19th, the urban river in Duyun City welcomed the peak flow. According to the Duyun City Flood Control and Drought Relief Command, the amount of water passing this time is large, the rise is fast, and the impact range is wide. Along the banks of the river, low-lying areas, riverside areas, etc., there are safety risks such as waterlogging, overtopping, landslides, and drowning. Temporary control has been implemented on riverside sections within the urban area. Duyun City has raised the flood emergency response to level II starting from 5 am on May 19th.
