Guangxi Liuzhou 5.2 magnitude earthquake early in the morning, local multiple listed companies respond

On May 18th at 12:21 am, a 5.2 magnitude earthquake with a depth of 8 kilometers occurred in Liunan District, Liuzhou City, Guangxi. By around 10 am that morning, the news reported that the earthquake had resulted in 2 deaths and 1 person missing. In response, reporters contacted several listed companies in Liuzhou as investors to understand the impact of the earthquake on their production and operations. The staff at Luoyang Pharmaceutical stated that they were working normally with no reported damage to their equipment or facilities, expecting minimal impact from the earthquake. Similarly, the staff at Liugong also reported that their operations were unaffected by the earthquake. They mentioned that earthquakes in Liuzhou are rare, and they will issue a clarification notice after assessing the situation. Despite numerous attempts, the reporters were unable to reach anyone at *ST Liuhua and Liugang Steel by the time of publication.
