Federal Reserve: Powell will serve as acting chairman until Kevin Walsh is sworn in.

The Federal Reserve Board announced on Friday in a statement that Jerome Powell has been appointed as acting chair until his successor Kevin Walsh is officially sworn in. Powell's term as chair will end this Friday. The Federal Reserve stated, "This temporary appointment of the current chair as acting chair is consistent with past practices during transitions of chairmen."
