The Ministry of Justice has issued a notice stating that the practices related to the EU's foreign subsidy investigation constitute improper extraterritorial jurisdiction. In accordance with Article 3 and Article 6 of the People's Republic of China Regulations on Countering Improper Extraterritorial Application of Foreign Legislation, the Ministry of Justice, in conjunction with relevant departments such as the Ministry of Commerce, has investigated and determined that the EU's actions in conducting cross-border investigations against Chinese entities in the investigation of Hikvision using its "foreign subsidy regulations" constitute improper extraterritorial jurisdiction measures. No organization or individual is allowed to enforce or assist in enforcing such improper extraterritorial jurisdiction measures. This announcement will take effect from the date of its announcement.
