The Hong Kong Legislative Council passed the Tax Concession Bill, and the government of the special administrative region welcomes it.

Today, the Legislative Council of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region passed the "2026 Taxation Bill" to implement the tax reduction measures proposed in the 2025 Policy Address and the 2026-27 Budget. The SAR government welcomes this decision. The above legislation will be promulgated on May 22. The one-off tax relief, increased tax exemption limits, and tax deductions will be reflected in taxpayers' final tax payable for the 2025/26 tax year and the tax for the 2026/27 tax year.
