As major cloud service providers turn to issuing new debt to finance their spending on artificial intelligence, Amazon is preparing to issue Swiss franc bonds for the first time. Sources familiar with the matter revealed that Amazon has appointed BNP Paribas, Deutsche Bank, and JPMorgan to arrange the issuance of six tranches of Swiss franc bonds, ranging in maturity from 3 to 25 years. A representative from Amazon stated that the funds raised will be used for general corporate purposes, including supporting investments and capital expenditures, as well as repaying upcoming debt obligations.
