On May 9, the Yibin Disease Prevention and Control Center in Sichuan Province issued a notice regarding the rumors circulating online about Yibin residents being related to the "Holland America" cruise ship. Recently, there have been rumors online linking Yibin residents to an overseas cruise ship epidemic. After investigation, the following information is now being reported: Yibin resident Chen, disembarked on March 31, while the first case on the cruise ship was on April 1, without any overlap in time or space between the two events. Chen has been off the ship for 39 days now and has shown no related symptoms. The Yibin Disease Prevention and Control Center has conducted sampling and testing on Chen and his family members, and all Han Tan virus nucleic acid test results came back negative. According to expert analysis, Chen has no risk of infection and poses no risk of community transmission.
