Recently, the China Disabled Persons' Federation, the Ministry of Education, the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, the National Press and Publication Administration, the Communist Youth League Central Committee, and the All-China Women's Federation jointly issued the "Guiding Opinions on Promoting Accessible Reading". The "Guiding Opinions" propose strengthening accurate guidance on accessible reading content, enriching diverse supply of accessible reading resources, improving professional efficiency of accessible reading services, widely promoting characteristic activities of accessible reading, balancing the development of accessible reading in urban and rural areas, leveraging technology to assist in accessible reading core advantages, actively conducting special research on accessible reading, enhancing training of professional talents in accessible reading, encouraging volunteer services for promoting accessible reading, and actively engaging in cross-border exchange of accessible reading resources, among ten measures. The "Guiding Opinions" make task deployments and provide clear requirements for strengthening overall organizational leadership, increasing policy and financial support, and creating an atmosphere for all people to participate.
