The peak day for entry and exit clearance was on May 2nd, with 2.529 million people passing through. Among them, 1.255 million foreign nationals entered and exited, an increase of 12.5% compared to the same period last year. Among the foreign nationals entering China, 436,000 entered using the visa-free policy, an increase of 14.7% compared to the same period last year. A total of 531,000 transport vehicles were inspected for entry and exit, an increase of 16.6% compared to the same period last year.
In accordance with the unified deployment of the National Immigration Administration, the border inspection agencies across the country strictly implemented the requirements of "two announcements and one reminder", scientifically predicted and timely released information on entry and exit passenger flow at each port, and advised the general public to arrange their trips rationally. They organized their operations scientifically, open sufficient inspection channels, strictly enforced measures to ensure that Chinese citizens' queue time at customs does not exceed 30 minutes, and coordinated closely with other departments to effectively manage and ensure the comprehensive support for high passenger flow during peak periods.
