According to a report by the American Columbia Broadcasting Corporation on the 5th, a cargo ship in the Gulf region is suspected to have been attacked by a land-based cruise missile, and several Filipino crew members on board were injured. The report cited two anonymous American officials as saying that the attacked cargo ship "CGM San Antonio" belongs to a French company, and the incident occurred on the night of the 5th local time in the Gulf region. Ship tracking data shows that the ship was still in the waters near Dubai, United Arab Emirates on the 5th at noon, but it is unclear whether it has since left the area. The UK Maritime Trade Operations Office said earlier on the 5th that they had received reports that "a cargo ship was hit by an unknown projectile" within the Strait of Hormuz.
