A 5.0 magnitude earthquake has occurred in the Tacna region of Peru.

On the morning of May 5th, a 5.0 magnitude earthquake struck the Tambes District in northwestern Peru. According to information released by the Peruvian Institute of Geophysics, the earthquake occurred at 10:58 am local time with a depth of 55 kilometers. The epicenter was located about 13 kilometers northeast of Zoritos, Peru. So far, there have been no reports of casualties or major property damage.
