On the fourth day of the May Day holiday, Guangdong's 4A-rated and above scenic spots welcomed 3.061 million visitors.

According to preliminary estimates, on the fourth day of the May Day holiday in 2026, the province's 4A and above scenic spots received 3.061 million visitors, an increase of 1.3% year-on-year; the key areas along the 14 sections of ancient post roads included in the monitoring received 460,000 visitors, an increase of 2.8% year-on-year; the 13 red tourism classic scenic spots included in the monitoring received 241,000 visitors, an increase of 1.8% year-on-year; the 100 rural tourism sites and historical ancient villages included in the monitoring received 364,000 visitors, an increase of 1.5% year-on-year; and the 80 key public cultural institutions included in the monitoring received 199,000 visitors, an increase of 2.6% year-on-year.
