On May 4th, it was learned from the Traffic Management Bureau of the Ministry of Public Security that on the fourth day of the "May Day" holiday, various regions have gradually entered the peak period of returning home, with traffic on major highways and national/provincial trunk roads running at high levels. Traffic management departments in various regions have strengthened order control, cracked down on prominent violations, enhanced emergency disposal, and widely disseminated tips to ensure smooth and safe road traffic. As of 6 p.m., except for occasional congestion and slow traffic in certain sections due to high traffic volumes or minor accidents, the overall traffic flow on national trunk roads is stable and orderly, with no long-term, widespread traffic congestion occurring. May 5th is the last day of the "May Day" holiday, and various regions will experience a peak in returning home traffic. Traffic volumes on highways and national/provincial trunk roads are expected to remain high. The Traffic Management Bureau of the Ministry of Public Security reminds all travelers returning home to ensure they are well-rested when driving long distances and to avoid driving while fatigued. In the event of a traffic accident on the highway, remember to "pull over, evacuate people, and report the incident immediately." When encountering traffic congestion and slow traffic ahead, drivers should queue up in order and not cut in line or use emergency lanes.
