The data released by the Financial Supervisory Service of South Korea on Monday showed that the trading volume of over-the-counter derivatives hit a record high last year, driven by increased trading volume in forward foreign exchange and interest rate swaps. The total trading volume of over-the-counter derivatives, including stock options, reached 2,679 trillion Korean won, an increase of 318 trillion Korean won compared to the previous year, representing a growth rate of 1.2%.
