According to data compiled by the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers from the General Administration of Customs, in March 2026, the total import and export value of automotive goods was $24.18 billion, representing a month-on-month growth of 1.4% and a year-on-year growth of 11.8%. The import value was $2.69 billion, decreasing by 8.7% month-on-month and by 22.9% year-on-year; the export value was $21.49 billion, increasing by 2.9% month-on-month and by 18.5% year-on-year. From January to March 2026, the total import and export value of automotive goods in the country reached $75.14 billion, a year-on-year growth of 26.9%. The import value was $9.27 billion, a decrease of 3.2% compared to the same period last year, while the export value was $65.86 billion, an increase of 32.7% compared to the same period last year.
