Hong Kong SAR Government: Comprehensive surplus for the fiscal year 2025-2026 is HK$112 billion.

According to the Economic Digest APP, on April 30, the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region government released the interim figures for the financial situation of the 2025-2026 fiscal year. The total expenditure and income for the 2025-2026 fiscal year were 790.3 billion Hong Kong dollars and 697.5 billion Hong Kong dollars respectively. After taking into account the principal of 156 billion Hong Kong dollars from issuing government bonds and repaying government bonds of 52 billion Hong Kong dollars, a surplus of 11.2 billion Hong Kong dollars was recorded.
