The National Computer Virus Emergency Response Center detected and found 67 mobile applications that collect and use personal information illegally and in violation of regulations.

According to the announcement of the joint release by the Cyberspace Administration of China, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, and the Ministry of Public Security on carrying out a series of special actions for personal information protection in 2026, based on the laws and regulations such as the Cybersecurity Law, the Personal Information Protection Law, the Regulations on the Management of Network Data Security, and the Methods for Determining Illegal Collection and Use of Personal Information by Apps, and after being detected by the National Computer Virus Emergency Response Center, 67 mobile applications were found to have collected and used personal information illegally.
