Hengtong Optical's new generation of G.654E fiber optic completes 800G testing and verification.

Recently, Hunten Optical and China Unicom Research Institute, in cooperation with ZTE Corporation, completed the project "Verification of 800G Transmission Capability of G.654E Fiber Optic in Provincial Backbone/City Area Network Applications." This research test simulated typical scenarios such as interconnection of provincial backbone and city area networks, as well as data center interconnection in DCI. Using the G.654E fiber optic provided by Hunten Optical and equipped with ZTE's 800G OTU device, the test successfully achieved stable operation of six 800G channels over a transmission distance of 300km.
