According to information from Cathay Pacific Airlines, during the "May Day" period, the booking volume of passengers arriving or transferring to Hong Kong via the "Guangzhou-Hong Kong" route increased by nearly 80% year-on-year; the booking volume of passengers departing for Hong Kong from Shenzhen Shekou via the "Sea-Sky Bordertown" also increased year-on-year. Singapore is the most popular destination, followed by Seoul, Bali, Bangkok and New York. Some markets have seen rapid growth, with booking volumes to Manila more than doubling compared to last year, and overall booking volume for US routes increasing by more than 30% year-on-year. Cathay Pacific Airlines continued to operate 3 daily round-trip flights between Guangzhou and Hong Kong during the "May Day" period, using wide-body aircraft. Currently, Cathay Pacific offers approximately 330 round-trip flights per week between Hong Kong and 24 destinations in mainland China.
