The second West Africa Forum focuses on the exchange of governance and administration experiences in Central Africa.
The second West African Forum with the theme of "Exchange of Governance and Governance Experience in Central Africa" was held in Dakar, the capital of Senegal, on the 27th, with more than 300 well-known experts, scholars, government officials, diplomats, and journalists from China and Africa attending the event. Cheikh Ahmadou Bamba Dione, director of the Prime Minister's Office of Senegal, delivered a speech on behalf of Prime Minister Soumeylou Boubeye Maga, stating that the theme of this forum is in line with the profound changes in the current international situation and is of great significance for the future development of China-Africa relations. The forum will help exchange views, identify common challenges, propose governance solutions that are in line with the actual situation of each country, and further improve the quality of China-Africa cooperation and enhance trust between the two peoples. Li Zhigang, Chinese Ambassador to Senegal, stated that in the face of global challenges such as geopolitical conflicts, climate change, and the development of artificial intelligence, the international community is paying more attention to improving governance capacity. China's practice of modern governance provides useful reference for exploring the modernization of governance in southern countries around the world. He looks forward to this forum providing more suggestions for building a new era of all-weather China-Africa community with shared future and safeguarding the common interests of the global south.
