The report card for the first quarter of the Yangtze River Delta has been released, with the total import and export value reaching a new high in the same period in history.

Recently, the "report card" of the economic performance in the first quarter of the three provinces and one municipality in the Yangtze River Delta has been successively released. In the first quarter of 2026, the total GDP of the Shanghai-Suzhou-Zhejiang-Anhui region reached 84,707.91 billion yuan, accounting for over one-fourth of the country's total proportion. At the same time, the total import and export value of the Yangtze River Delta region in the first quarter reached 4.49 trillion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 15.8%, reaching a historical high and increasing its share of the national total to 37.9%. Among them, Shanghai, Suzhou, Zhejiang, and Anhui grew by 21.9%, 17.2%, 7.1%, and 31.6% respectively, showing significantly better performance than the national average. In the first quarter of this year, the GDP of Shanghai, Suzhou, Zhejiang, and Anhui reached 1.3526 trillion yuan, 3.4483 trillion yuan, 2.3684 trillion yuan, and 1.3014 trillion yuan respectively, with year-on-year growth rates of 5.9%, 5.4%, 6.0%, and 5.8%, all higher than the national average of 5.0%.
