On April 24, the United States White House announced that President's special envoy Wittkov and President Trump's son-in-law Kushner are expected to travel to Pakistan on Saturday to advance negotiations with Iran. Vice President Pence will stay in the country on standby. The White House stated that other relevant US officials will all be on standby and ready to fly to Pakistan to participate in the negotiations if necessary. The White House also stated that Iran has contacted them proactively and has requested a face-to-face meeting. Iran has not responded to this request yet. (CCTV).
