The Office of the Leading Group for Building a Strong Country in Quality announced today the "Annual Report on China's Fight Against Infringement and Counterfeiting". The report shows that during the "14th Five-Year Plan" period, the Chinese government has placed more emphasis on combating infringement and counterfeiting, continuously improving the institutional mechanisms, and strengthening law enforcement and judiciary. Over the past five years, administrative law enforcement and criminal justice departments have carried out a series of special operations such as "Iron Fist", "Clear Sky", and "Kunlun", cracking down on infringement and counterfeiting violations. National copyright departments have investigated and handled 12,800 cases of infringement and piracy involving physical markets, customs have seized 282,000 batches and 400 million items of goods suspected of infringing exports and imports, and market supervision departments have investigated and handled 218,900 cases of trademark infringement and counterfeit patent cases.
