German bond yields spiked and then fell back.

On Thursday afternoon in the European market, the yield on Germany's 10-year government bonds rose by 0.1 basis points to 3.009%, trading in a range of 3.047%-2.999% during the day, opening high and closing lower overall. The yield on 2-year German bonds rose by 0.6 basis points to 2.567%, trading in a range of 2.544%-2.597% during the day. The yield on 30-year German bonds fell by 0.5 basis points to 3.531%, opening high at 3.570% before steadily declining. The yield spread between 2-year and 10-year German bonds fell by 0.539 basis points to +43.859 basis points.
