According to Nanjing Daily, on April 23rd, Zhou Hongbo, the Secretary of the Nanjing Municipal Party Committee, met with a delegation led by Mertel, a director of BMW Group. During the meeting, both sides expressed their intention to seize the opportunities of the "14th Five-Year Plan" development policy, actively embrace AI technological changes, enhance Nanjing's comparative advantages in areas such as technological innovation, foreign trade, and industrial supporting facilities, continue to leverage the guiding role of the BMW industry, and jointly expand the automotive consumption market. They also emphasized the need to expand the layout of the intelligent connected vehicle industry, strengthen the R&D capabilities of BMW Information Technology Company and other enterprises in Nanjing, improve the coordinated capabilities of the industrial chain and supply chain, and jointly create a favorable industrial ecosystem.
