Britain has reached a new agreement with France to spend more than 600 million on preventing illegal immigration.

Britain and France have reached a new three-year agreement, under which Britain will provide up to 660 million to France to prevent illegal immigrants from crossing the English Channel on small boats to reach the UK. According to the agreement, the UK will provide around 500 million to help France increase its efforts to combat illegal migration on the northern French coast; France has committed to deploying 1,400 law enforcement and intelligence personnel to combat illegal migration by 2029, representing an increase of over 50%.
