According to statistics from the Shenzhen Immigration Inspection General Station, in the first quarter of this year, a total of 73.44 million inbound and outbound personnel passed through various ports in Shenzhen, an increase of 14.6% year-on-year, with 36.49 million inbound and 36.95 million outbound personnel, an increase of 14.9% and 14.3% respectively. With the continuous upgrading of transportation infrastructure, customs clearance mode, and cross-border payment methods in the Greater Bay Area, travel between Hong Kong residents and mainland China has become more convenient and smooth. In the first quarter of this year, there were 12 days at Shenzhen port where the daily passenger flow exceeded 1 million, with the highest reaching 1.09 million, showing an increasing frequency of movement between mainland China and Hong Kong and Macau residents, and a continuous rise in the number of foreign visitors entering the country.
