Tesla: Preparing for the second quarter to build the first large-scale production factory for the robot Transformer.

Tesla disclosed progress in its robot business in the first quarter financial report in 2026. The preparations for the first large-scale Optimus factory by Tesla will start in early second quarter, and the first generation production line designed to have an annual capacity of 1 million robots will replace the Model S and Model X production lines at the Fremont factory. Tesla is also preparing the Texas Gigafactory for the second generation production line, with a long-term design capacity of 10 million robots per year.
