The 9th China International Import Expo promotion meeting and the Hongqiao International Economic Forum consultation meeting were held at the African Union headquarters in Addis Ababa, the capital of Ethiopia, on the 21st. More than 80 representatives from the African Union, the United Nations Economic Commission for Africa, relevant companies, and business associations participated in the event. Jiang Feng, head of the Chinese embassy to the African Union, said in his speech that in recent years, China has steadily expanded the range of zero-tariff treatment for African products exported to China, and has improved the level of trade facilitation. The Import Expo and the Hongqiao Forum have become important bridges connecting African countries and the Chinese market. It is hoped that entrepreneurs from China and Africa will fully utilize these two platforms and the zero-tariff measures to deepen cooperation in trade, investment, production capacity, technology, and other areas, and achieve win-win development.
