Recently, it has been rumored that Costco Wholesale International, Inc. will establish a new headquarters for Kaishike in Beijing, overseeing the development of business in China and the national layout of stores. According to the WeChat account of "Kaishike Beijing International Business Development Co., Ltd.," Costco Wholesale International, Inc. will invest a total of 1.5 billion US dollars to establish Kaishike International Business Development Co., Ltd. in Beijing as the headquarters for Kaishike in China. The initial focus will be on the core cities in six regions, including Beijing, Chengdu, Wuhan, Guangzhou, Tianjin, and Hefei. Kaishike Beijing International Business Development Co., Ltd. is a wholly-owned subsidiary of "Costco International Wholesale Company" with a registered capital of 100 million US dollars, covering daily necessities, food and beverages, and import and export agency services. The account also published documents such as notarization, business licenses, and registration certificates from the Beijing Municipal Administration. On April 22nd, Costco China responded to Jinshang News, stating that the above-mentioned public account is not an official account, and the official account should be "Costco Kaishike," with Costco Investment Co., Ltd. as the certified entity.
