In the first quarter, the total transportation turnover of China's civil aviation industry reached 428 billion ton-kilometers.

According to the Civil Aviation Administration, in the first quarter of 2026, China's civil aviation transportation production got off to a good start, with the industry as a whole completing a total turnover of 42.8 billion ton-kilometers, 200 million passengers, and 2.452 million tons of cargo and mail, representing year-on-year increases of 10.9%, 6.5%, and 9.3% respectively. Among them, the international market maintained rapid growth, with the year-on-year growth rates of international route passenger and cargo transportation reaching 10% and 17.6% respectively.
