According to the Shanghai Customs, in the first quarter of this year, the total import and export value in the Yangtze River Delta region reached 4.49 trillion yuan, reaching a historical high for the same period, with a year-on-year growth of 15.8%, accounting for 37.9% of the total national import and export value. Among them, exports were 2.81 trillion yuan, and imports were 1.68 trillion yuan, accounting for 41% and 33.6% of the total national export and import value, with year-on-year growth of 12.9% and 21.1% respectively. In the first quarter of this year, the Yangtze River Delta region's import and export with countries participating in the "Belt and Road" initiative reached 2.26 trillion yuan, with a year-on-year increase of 17.3%, accounting for 37.4% of the total national import and export value with these countries during the same period; the import and export with other RCEP member countries reached 153 billion yuan, with a year-on-year increase of 26.7%, accounting for 40.9% of the total national import and export value with these countries during the same period; the import and export with other BRICS countries reached 655.28 billion yuan, with a year-on-year increase of 6.3%, accounting for 42.5% of the total national import and export value with these countries during the same period; the import and export with ASEAN countries reached 729.83 billion yuan, with a year-on-year increase of 20.8%, accounting for 37.1% of the total national import and export value with these countries during the same period; the import and export with Latin American countries reached 359.71 billion yuan, with a year-on-year increase of 12%, accounting for 36.5% of the total national import and export value with these countries during the same period; the import and export with African countries reached 228.89 billion yuan, with a year-on-year increase of 21.4%, accounting for 35.4% of the total national import and export value with these countries during the same period.
