Hunan: Some pharmacies suspected of illegally using medical insurance personal account funds, the medical insurance bureau intervenes in the investigation.
Recently, some pharmacies such as Lao Baixing Pharmacy and Yangtianhe have been exposed for suspected irregular use of medical insurance funds. The reporter learned on the 22nd from the Hunan Provincial Medical Insurance Bureau that the bureau has urgently summoned Lao Baixing Pharmacy, Yangtianhe, and other pharmacies in Hunan Province to supervise the completion of on-site inspections of the pharmacies involved. According to a preliminary investigation by the medical insurance department, 10 pharmacies were found to have problems such as card swapping and settlement, involving a total expenditure of 3267.14 yuan from the personal accounts of medical insurance workers. No issues related to the improper use of medical insurance pooled funds by the pharmacies have been found. The relevant person in charge of the Hunan Provincial Medical Insurance Bureau stated that Hunan will comprehensively launch special inspections and governance work, incorporating the issue of personal account card swiping in pharmacies into the province's prominent problem rectification "blitz" management of medical insurance funds. The province will also launch special flying inspections across the province, ensuring supervision of all chain pharmacy outlets involved and on-site inspections of key risk outlets with a "full coverage" approach. At the same time, Hunan will continue to improve the long-term regulatory system, tighten and implement normalized supervision along the entire chain, focus on key aspects of fund use in designated pharmacies, conduct regular risk assessments, special rectifications, and closed-loop corrections, strengthen the responsibility of medical institutions, and promote the normalization, standardization, and long-term effectiveness of supervision.
