Contemporary Amperex Technology Co. Limited: Sodium-ion batteries will be the first to be equipped in the electric vehicle swapping system.

Gao Huan, chief technology officer of Contemporary Amperex Technology Co., Limited (CATL), stated today that sodium-ion batteries have passed the verification stage, and the range can reach 300 kilometers for extended range vehicles and 500 kilometers for pure electric vehicles. By the end of this year to the first half of next year, CATL plans to be the first to incorporate sodium-ion batteries into the passenger vehicle exchange system and also establish a certain scale of supply in the energy storage field.
