Australian company South32's quarterly manganese production has more than doubled.
Australian company South32 reported that its manganese production in the third quarter has more than doubled, as its Australian operations have resumed production, while the production from this business was zero in the same period last year. The world's largest manganese producer produced a total of 1.09 million wet metric tons of this steel additive in the quarter ending in March from its operations in Australia and South Africa, higher than the 476,000 wet metric tons in the same period last year. This production is lower than the Visible Alpha consensus expectation of 1.25 million wet metric tons.
