On April 21, the State Council Information Office held a press conference to introduce the development of industry and information technology in the first quarter of 2026. Xie Cun, spokesperson for the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology and director of the Information and Communication Development Department, stated that the next step for the ministry will focus on building an upgraded version of 5G + industrial Internet, strengthening factor protection, speeding up the implementation of opinions on promoting the high-quality development of industrial Internet, coordinating the construction of projects such as network identification and platform data security, and focusing on improving the development of five major systems: policy, facilities, technology, applications, and ecology.
