The State Council Information Office held a press conference to introduce the development of industrial and information technology in the first quarter of 2026. The relevant person in charge introduced that in the high-end and intelligent development of the equipment industry, it can be summarized as "three continuities". Firstly, the innovation capability continues to strengthen. The world's first invasive brain-machine interface medical device has been approved for listing, filling the clinical blank in the world; domestically produced spot welding industrial robots have been used in batches for the first time in automobile welding lines; the world's first wire cutting machine tool that can achieve five-axis linkage has been successfully developed, significantly improving processing efficiency. Secondly, the number of high-end products continues to increase. Among passenger cars priced above 500,000 yuan, the sales volume of domestic brands increased by 97% year-on-year, with a market share of 69.5%; the second domestically produced large cruise ship, "Aida Huacheng", was successfully launched; the world's largest pile driving ship, "CICPD Bridge Pile 1", was delivered; the "Xiangyun" AS700 manned airship has received a total of 42 confirmed orders. Thirdly, the level of intelligence continues to improve. The equipment industry has established 197 excellent intelligent factories, promoting an average decrease of 48.4% in product defect rates and an average increase of 22.3% in production efficiency.
