Happy Baby China responds to suspicions of some products in Europe containing rodenticides: All products in China are safe.
Recently, the German baby food producer HiPP announced that suspected rat poison-contaminated canned baby food of the same brand was found in Czech Republic and Slovakia. As a precautionary measure, all retailers in both countries have removed all canned baby food of this brand from the shelves. At the same time, the company has recalled the same series of products sold through SPAR supermarkets in Austria and warned consumers that "consumption of such canned food may pose a life-threatening danger". On April 20th, HiPP China responded to Interface News, stating that the incident was a criminal case of deliberate poisoning in local supermarkets in Austria, Czech Republic, etc., currently under investigation by the authorities. It is not a product quality issue and is limited to a very small amount of bottled baby food puree. All HiPP products sold through legitimate channels in the Chinese market are not involved in the incident and are safe to consume. Public information shows that HiPP was founded in Germany over 120 years ago and is famous for "organic agriculture", selling organic baby food globally. Currently, HiPP's business covers nearly 60 countries and regions worldwide, offering over 400 products including milk powder, complementary food, grooming, and nutrition, making it the world's number one organic baby food brand in terms of retail sales. HiPP entered China in 2011 and has completed core layouts in first-tier cities so far, progressing into second and third-tier cities.
