Thailand is seeking three American semiconductor companies to invest in Thailand.
The Thailand Board of Investment stated in a statement that Thailand is increasing efforts to connect with three leading American companies after Thai Finance Minister Arkhom Termpittayapaisit's visit to the United States, in order to attract investment from the US semiconductor industry. Foxconn: A supplier to NVIDIA, plans to further expand production on top of its existing 30 billion baht investment, and relocate its upstream material production line to Thailand by 2027, with future prospects of setting up research and development-related businesses. Global Foundries: One of the world's top chip manufacturers, the Thai government has actively contacted the company, inviting it to establish its first Southeast Asian production facility in Thailand. Teradyne: A global leader in semiconductor automated test equipment manufacturing, plans to expand its local supply chain procurement in Thailand and deepen local production cooperation.
