Founder of Songyan Power reveals the upgrade of the competition robot technology.

On the afternoon of April 19, today, the 2026 humanoid robot half marathon was held in Yizhuang, Beijing, with over 100 teams from 13 provinces, autonomous regions, and municipalities participating. At the event, Jiang Zheyuan, founder and chairman of Songyan Power, told Sina Technology and others, "The significance of robots actively participating in marathon events is to verify the performance and algorithm capabilities of robots in extreme working conditions. Especially today, with relatively high temperatures and a long race track, robots have to work for a long time under extreme conditions, undoubtedly a rigorous challenge for humanoid robots." Speaking of the technological improvements of Songyan Power's participating robots this year, Jiang Zheyuan mentioned, "This year, the endurance capability of the product has significantly improved, requiring only one battery replacement, theoretically two batteries can complete the entire race; in terms of key components, the torque has increased by more than twice last year, and the speed has also increased accordingly. With a high voltage platform, theoretically, the maximum speed of this robot is actually very high. Internally, the company has already tested out very high driving speeds, and we have prepared a strategy with a very fast speed, but it was not used in the competition due to factors such as weather and temperature on that day."
