The equity sale of Evergrande Property has made a key progress. Recently, Evergrande Property announced on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange that its controlling shareholders, China Evergrande and CEG Holdings, have signed an exclusive agreement with a selected bidder. The two parties will engage in exclusive negotiations for a period of 30 working days regarding the sale of 51.016% of Evergrande Property's equity. This also means that this company, once hailed as the "leader of Chinese property management", will have a new actual controller as early as May. "If Evergrande Property successfully sells, it will provide a very important successful case and valuation reference for the disposal of high-quality ancillary assets in the real estate restructuring process. This may prompt other real estate companies facing liquidity crisis to accelerate the pace of selling their property management subsidiaries, triggering a new wave of mergers and acquisitions in the property management industry," said Song Ziqian, a senior researcher at China Real Estate Think Tank, in an interview.
