In the first quarter, the national water conservancy construction investment reached 207 billion yuan, an increase of 4.1% year-on-year.

According to the Ministry of Water Resources, in the first quarter of this year, the construction of water conservancy infrastructure in the country has achieved a good start. From January to March, a total of 24,231 water conservancy projects were implemented nationwide, including 8,348 newly started water conservancy projects; the total investment in water conservancy construction reached 207 billion yuan, an increase of 4.1% year-on-year. The construction of water conservancy projects has created jobs for 670,000 people, including 545,000 rural laborers, with a total of 9.1 billion yuan in wages distributed to employees, including 68.8 billion yuan to rural laborers.
