HSBC: Singapore's electronic product exports expected to remain strong.
Chua Han Teng, Senior Economist at DBS Group, stated in a report that in the near future, Singapore's exports of electronic products may continue to outperform non-electronic products exports. The momentum of electronic product exports is expected to continue to benefit from ongoing global AI-related favorable factors, as well as strong demand for storage chips and server products. However, Chua warned that due to the industry's reliance on helium, and since Qatar is a major supplier of helium, the global AI and electronic products cycle is not completely unaffected by the unrest in the Middle East region.
