Beijing: Build an internationally influential sports event system and improve policies to support sports consumption.

The Beijing Municipal Sports Bureau issued the "Measures to Accelerate the Construction of International Event Cities and Further Release the Potential of Sports Consumption." The draft for soliciting opinions pointed out the need to build an internationally influential event system. The measures include supporting the introduction of top international events, encouraging the organization of high-commercial value events, vigorously cultivating locally influential events, enriching mass sports event activities, and improving the layout of "one district, one characteristic" events. The promotion of event economy to promote the integrated development of culture, commerce, tourism, and sports, the cultivation of new scenes for sports consumption, the continuous improvement of event service levels, the expansion of sports consumption groups, and the improvement of support policies for sports consumption.
