New York Stock Exchange's three major indices rose on the 16th.

As of the close of the day, the Dow Jones Industrial Average rose by 115.00 points compared to the previous trading day, closing at 48578.72 points, an increase of 0.24%; the S&P 500 stock index rose by 18.33 points, closing at 7041.28 points, an increase of 0.26%; the Nasdaq Composite Index rose by 86.69 points, closing at 24102.70 points, an increase of 0.36%. In terms of sectors, of the eleven major sectors of the S&P 500 index, seven rose and four fell. The energy sector and real estate sector led the gains with increases of 1.55% and 1.01% respectively, while the healthcare sector and industrial sector led the declines with decreases of 0.77% and 0.49% respectively.
