German Lufthansa employees are on strike and hundreds of flights have been cancelled.
On the 16th local time, the cabin crew and pilots of Lufthansa, Germany's largest airline, held a strike simultaneously, causing hundreds of flights operated by Lufthansa, Lufthansa Cargo, and its regional subsidiary Lufthansa Cityline to be canceled once again. This is the fourth consecutive day of strikes by the airline's crew. Due to disputes over the company's pension plan, the pilot union had previously called for strikes on the 13th and 14th. The strike plan was launched again on the 16th and will last for 48 hours until midnight on the 17th. In order to fight for a better new collective bargaining agreement, the cabin crew union called for strikes on the 15th and 16th, and the union had already initiated a strike on the 10th.
